Ethics & Healthy Boundaries for Peer Advocates
This course is taught by two seasoned clinicians who have years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of therapy settings. We’ll discuss the newest version of the NAADAC code of ethics and talk about scenarios pertaining to child, adolescent, and family care in substance use, mental health, and co-occurring therapy that are REAL. More importantly–we’ll delve into the underlying factors that make us more vulnerable to ethical missteps–including how to better manage your own unique history and attributes.

-Healthy vs. problematic boundary compare & contrast with examples for peer advocates

-Qualities and aspects of being a professional
-12-12:30pm Lunch Break
-12:30-1pm Self study time: 1/2 hour: read the national ethical code for Peer Recovery Advocates (NAADAC, available on our website)
